As a part of fruitful collaboration in LEVEL UP! project, Beata and Ieva visited Tricity (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia) to meet up with various local initiatives and representatives of local municipality. The visits turned out very inspiring, and the gained insights will be useful in creating future projects as well as forming new cooperations. Meanwhile, the partners are looking forward to further developing internal evaluations to discuss them in about a month, and figure out a common plan for continuation.
Last week on On October 25-27, 2021, was the sixth meeting of the members of the partner team from Poland, Spain, and Latvia. It was already the second physical meeting in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic, which took place thanks to the extraordinary efforts of several Polish organizations involved, including employees of PES Gdańsk Branch, UrbanLab Gdynia, Gdańsk Talent Development Center, Exchanger – Youth Center for Social Innovation and Design, Gdańsk RC Foundation or the Cooperation Department in the Social Development Department of the Gdańsk City Hall.
It was the first project meeting focused on the exchange of good practices (combined with the presentation of the partner and invited experts and study visits) coordinated by the Polish Economic Society. During the meeting, courtesy of the hosts from PES Branch in Gdańsk – participants had the opportunity to learn more about the local specifics of the organization’s operation and the scope of its daily practice, discuss the unique experiences of the visited institutions resulting from the implementation of European projects and local activities. The leitmotif of this meeting was to show the cooperation of scientific and educational institutions, local government, and the third sector for social activation and support for the local activity of various social groups.
Looking forward to future, the project partners are planning the next meeting which will take place in Sopot, and right afterwards – in Valencia. The goals for these meetings will be talking over the remaining internal evaluations and, similarly to this meeting in Poland, discover the most inspiring stories form daily work of Associacion Con Valores.
