Members of 4 organisations met in Sweden, Örkelljunga in the end of September in order to establish a collaboration and discuss the work plan of the new Nordplus project “It’s Always Time to Change!”.
The project aims to design, implement and disseminate an educational kit including a board game and other educational materials with a focus on active citizenship, cultural awareness, discrimination, equal opportunities, social exclusion, participation and political rights.
During 3 days of active and intense meetings partners have established the plan in order to create educational tool kit, including a board game, cartoon video and other supporting materials. The organisations involved are IFALL (Sweden), KIC (Lithuania), SIC (Latvia) and Hjemlsjovik (Sweden). 2 representatives from each organisation took part in the meeting, contributing with their knowledge and competences in design, languages, project management, communication potential users and youth sector.
What project aims to reach?
- improve the quality of adult work by informal learning tools
- debate on the focused issues and in the daily youth work;
- increase knowledge of culture heritage, traditions, habits, other than their own – promote the participation and active citizenship among targets groups;
- acquire training skills of “special needs” target with flexible, updated multi-target tools.
The first transnational meeting was an opportunity for partners to establish 2-year’s timeline for “It’s Always Time to Change!” project. The tool kit will be produced over the 2-years period and will incorporate the evaluation, feedback and comments of service users and beneficiaries. 3 more transnational meetings will take place in Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania next year.
