The project is about half-way and has given a great perspective on European values, as well as the differences in viewpoints across different countries.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"ult-spacer spacer-69d2a00b1215a\" data-id=\"69d2a00b1215a\" data-height=\"20\" data-height-mobile=\"20\" data-height-tab=\"20\" data-height-tab-portrait=\"\" data-height-mobile-landscape=\"\" style=\"clear:both;display:block;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1692701038591{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]This project started in September 2021 with a kick-off meeting in Kaunas, but has since then come into full power. Besides local research activities in the partner countries, the next step in the project according to the plan was the transnational partner meeting and the local event \u2013 a debate that took place in Rome. The main event was held in the magnificent venue of CNEL (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnel.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consiglio Nazionale dell\u2019economia e del lavoro<\/a>) on March 23rd and the topics covered legal guarantees and charter of the European Union, European Convention of Human Rights, perception of human rights in different countries of Europe, public debates about EU Charter and many more.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221;][vc_column]<div class=\"ult-spacer spacer-69d2a00b1221b\" data-id=\"69d2a00b1221b\" data-height=\"40\" data-height-mobile=\"40\" data-height-tab=\"40\" data-height-tab-portrait=\"\" data-height-mobile-landscape=\"\" style=\"clear:both;display:block;\"><\/div>[vc_media_grid grid_id=&#8221;vc_gid:1692700807565-a739c994-0013-7&#8243; include=&#8221;4841,4840,4839,4842,4843&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div class=\"ult-spacer spacer-69d2a00b1225d\" data-id=\"69d2a00b1225d\" data-height=\"40\" data-height-mobile=\"40\" data-height-tab=\"40\" data-height-tab-portrait=\"\" data-height-mobile-landscape=\"\" style=\"clear:both;display:block;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1692701123304{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]Gathering more than 70 high-school students and human rights lawyers with an extensive experience in the same space proved a very eye opening experience for all of the involved parties. Partners informed about the research interviews with people about their views on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensinformation.ie\/en\/government_in_ireland\/european_government\/eu_law\/charter_of_fundamental_rights.html\">The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union<\/a>\u00a0and the ways their lives are affected by the current human rights practices in Europe. We are especially excited to see this result to come into fruition, and will soon start the work on analyzing the data that will be further discussed in the following events.<\/p>\n<p>The next activities ahead are a meeting and a public discussion with Latvian society on these topics in a partners\u2019 gathering in Riga on May, but meanwhile the research and planning on a photo exhibition\u00a0commences.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div class=\"ult-spacer spacer-69d2a00b1232c\" data-id=\"69d2a00b1232c\" data-height=\"20\" data-height-mobile=\"20\" data-height-tab=\"20\" data-height-tab-portrait=\"\" data-height-mobile-landscape=\"\" style=\"clear:both;display:block;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1692701425307{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]<strong>ABOUT PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During project NICE the partners are working on informing and reminding citizens, specifically youth, about the important date of proclamation of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensinformation.ie\/en\/government_in_ireland\/european_government\/eu_law\/charter_of_fundamental_rights.html\">The Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union<\/a>\u00a0which significantly contributed to EU law as we know it nowadays. Project seeks to explore the topic of European memory and history with special interest in EU perspective and fundamental rights, often left without proper attention from the side of the youth.
