TRAINING | Introduction to RevitaLESE training modules in Zagreb
Productive face-to-face meetings are often one of the most valuable parts of projects. This is exactly how the visit to Zagreb turned out – we started with a partners’meeting and talked about the planned activities. Rightand after that, over the course of several days, three trainers from Latvia learned about presenting five modules of the RevitaLESE training course. In the coming months these will be tested in the Latvian environment, promoting the sustainability of long established social economy (LESE) organizations.
Marking the midpoint of the project, the project partners from six countries discussed the achievements made so far – the needs analysis, the training modules created and the plans prepared to foster networking of social entrepreneurs. In order to prepare for the next year of the project better, SIC presented the management plan of the international cooperation network, as well as the online tools linked to it – a website with multitude of resources, a LinkedIn group and an interactive map, all of which will be available to the wider public very soon.
The prepared training modules consist of topics that help long-established social entrepreneurs and representatives of other organizations to evaluate and renew the operational model, as well as to adapt activities to current needs, including digital skills.
In Zagreb, three trainers learned ways to present this information more effectively to organizations in Latvia – this will be done already the coming spring. After receiving the feedback of the participants, these training modules will be improved and the conclusions will be included in the sustainability report, which will highlight the further implementation plan.
The next project meeting is scheduled for Cyprus at the end of May. During it, the results of the first piloting phase will be discussed – we are excited about the activities planned in the coming months!
The project addresses an identified need for ongoing support for longer-standing social economy organizations after the start-up phase. The main goal of the project is to emphasize the importance of the social mission, business model and activities of such organizations, as well as to help improve and revive them.
In the project, we work with representatives of the social economy and give them the opportunity to promote their influence in working with less protected members of society and communities. The project aims to create a comprehensive and valuable training model to revitalize and modernize established social economy organizations. The pilot version of the training models will be used to create a social economy network led by the social economy organizations themselves, as well as an online information center with content that demonstrates the value, impact and potential of the European social economy.
